Hands Across the Sea

I happened on an American site, Defending People: The Art and Science of Criminal Defence Trial Lawyering, the other day and commented on one of the posts about cross-examination. The reply was to highlight this site and to start a debate about whether statements have a use in cross-examination and whether the advice to never ask a question to which you don't know the answer is good.

The site is interesting and Mark Bennett seems to know what he's about. It may be worth a look when you are getting ready for your practical exercises.

To assist further I could publish the lecture I gave last year on cross-examination in civil cases. However it's about 14 pages long, so before I do so one of my technically adept readers (this normally means Martin George but it could be you) will have to tell me how to put it on a separate page. It's nice to give something back...

PS. Thank you Martin. It should now be available if you go here. Actually, if you search the Park Court Chambers website you can get all sorts of useful PDH versions of seminars.

My immediate reaction is that it cannot be done on Blogger. Unlike Wordpress or Movable Type, Blogger doesn't allow users to create pages outside of the "post" hierarchy.

So, you can either,

1) just copy and paste it into a post;
2) Upload it as a PDF (or whatever) and link to it/make it available for download;
3) Host it on another site.

Shoot me an email if you want to discuss in more detail.

Goodness me, a chambers website with actual content AND the ability to manipulate that content. Whatever is the world coming to?
